ENTER – Environmental Open Data for engaging curricula and research training
ENTER aims to pilot a sustainable, data-driven model for academia and community engagement in India and Malaysia. By sharing and co-creating environmental data, the project brings EU expertise to:

Create an operational data-sharing framework, curricula support for community engagement, and a student mentorship program.

Deliver ICT infrastructure for data-driven pilots at HEIs in India and Malaysia.

Develop innovative curricula (degrees, microcredentials, challenges) and teaching methods for ongoing, participatory environmental data use.

Build HEI and stakeholder capacity through sustainable education and participatory activities.
Key outputs and activities:

5 living labs, 4 citizen science projects, and links to research and education.

70 ECTS of degree and microcredential courses; 3 hackathons; learning materials on ENTERnet with 460+ students enrolled.

Access to data and research facilities for partners; 20+ training and dissemination events reaching academic and broader stakeholders (including “engagement managers” training).

Supports EC and EU Global Gateway priorities: EU Green Deal, Digital Transformation, Governance and Security, Sustainable Growth and Jobs, and inclusive, transparent decision-making for vulnerable groups.
KICK-OFF in Bremen
ENTER kicks off in Bremen (11–13 Feb 2026), uniting 25 partners from Europe, India, and Malaysia to advance open, data-driven environmental education through living labs, citizen science, and microcredentials. The kick-off concluded with a training session (13 Feb) showcasing best-practice participatory approaches to support 5 living labs and 4 citizen science projects in India and Malaysia. (goto events)
